A new primary source reduces some of the previous uncertainty

New observations

A person directly involved comments on a point that has been presented differently over the past few days.

She explicitly permits her previous written statements to be made available to other representatives of the organization.

At the same time, she explicitly confirms that an earlier description of the situation may be understood as a “call for help.”

This provides, for the first time, a direct statement on this question from the person whose original account had been subject to the differing interpretations.

One of the initiators subsequently makes this new information available to a wider group of participants.

At the same time, he states that, for his part, he does not intend to continue the discussion by email for the time being.

The new statement reduces some of the previous uncertainty and makes it easier for those involved to let the discussion rest for the time being.

The differing assessments of the communication process so far remain, but the clarification of this particular point reduces their immediate significance.

Current state of orientation

The new observation does not fundamentally change the overall situation.

It does, however, reduce uncertainty regarding one specific point that had recently been the explicit subject of differing accounts.

A direct statement from the person concerned is now available on this point.

At the same time, it is now explicitly apparent for the first time that one of the initiators does not intend to continue the discussion by email for the time being.

This creates a provisional state in which additional communication does not currently appear likely to contribute to better orientation.

Under these conditions, deliberately refraining from further action can itself be part of the orientation process.

At present, no specific next observation is required.

Whether and when new developments will make renewed orientation necessary remains open.
